“Vote Me In First And See Changes: Jubilee Has Failed Us.” – Raila

CORD leader Raila Odinga while campaigning yesterday blamed Jubilee administration for not having what it takes to bring political fairness to the Coast, which has been politically exploited for several years.

At the campaign done to raise supporters for ODM Malindi by-election candidate Willy Mtengo, ODM key man lashed President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, for being unwilling to bring changes in the Coast .

In a seemingly mocking tone, Raila Odinga said the two leaders do not want to pass down power and enforce the rule of law. According to him, they instead were keen on ruling by decree.

Quoting Raila

We thought we had a President and Deputy President who understand devolution. They (Uhuru and Ruto) do not.

He added that the leading party has only made superficial reforms in the land sector which have ensured the continuity of feudal land tenure systems at the Coast but has tried to weaken the National Land Commission.

Raila, who was in the company of governors Amason Kingi (Kilifi) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa), said that the millions in NYS scandal serve as a slight idea of the overwhelming amount of corruption jubilee administration has brought into the country.

He noted that more money has been lost and that Eurobond fund robbery happened abroad as the money didn’t for one day get into Kenya.

Together, they addressed rallies at Kakoneni and Madunguni.

Will CORD Throw Up Raila Odinga As Its Presidential Candidate?

Well, the Cord leader Raila Odinga had urged all the members of Luhya community to avoid treating prophecies of Dini Ya Musambwa sect leader Elijah Masinde with negligence and scorn unless it does not want its own to be President.

He made this statement while addressing the audience at Mbakalu Secondary School in Bungoma county during a funds drive last Friday.

According to him:

Elijah Masinde prophesied the leadership in Luhya community will first come from the lakeside.

Raila said Masinde had revealed that for a politician from Luhya to lead the country, the community must first come together in full force to back one from the lake region. He noted that this can only come alive if the community can in unity obey the prophesy.

Raila pleaded to the entire community to give him huge support in the forthcoming general election. He told the people that when this is done, Cord co-principal Moses Wetang’ula will be supported afterwards.
