Deputy President William Ruto’s wife took it upon herself to advise all Kenyan women to be conscious of what they take into their stomach.
She also told them to engage in physical activity regularly to cut down on the chances of falling prey to disease. According to Mrs Ruto, lack of exercise and poor eating habits reduce the life span of many around the globe.
Naming the deadly disease which can attack the body when such poor habits are extended, she said:
Cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes are some of the diseases caused by poor eating lifestyle.
DP Ruto’s Wife dished out these health tips during a Joyful Women Organization (JoyWo) Chairladies’ meeting hosted by Senator Lenny Kivuti’s wife, Mrs Hilda Kivuti, at their Kanyaumbora, Embu County.
Appreciating all the women in Embu, Deputy President’s wife congratulated the women for playing active role in the table banking and urged them to be involved in projects that floods in income.
She further begged the women in Embu to make effective use of opportunities available within their regions and to be self-made. She said nothing can make her happier than see more females make it in the country.

Furthering, Mrs Ruto advised the women to give appropriate thoughts to adding measurable value in their agri-business ventures. She advised that doing so would cut down losses especially in perishable food products like mango and other products.
She also told the women to make use of the 30 per cent Government tenders mapped out for youth, women and disabled persons, to their advantage.
