Gospel singer, Daddy Owen has today April 2nd walks down the aisle with his newly wed bride at Kenya Assemblies of God church in Buru Buru. The well known gospel singer who has been engaged to his long time girl friend, Farida Wambui will be tying the knot before a their family, relatives and other strictly invited guest with part of the media group.
The young gospel singer, Owen planned the wedding ceremony to be colorful perhaps to fulfill the dreams of his bride who according to him, wished for a fairy-tale wedding.
Himself and his groomsmen (including who included comedian Eric Omondi and Gospel Singer Rufftone) all in white suits. He earlier noted that today’s union will be marking four whole years he had met and known the bride, Farida.
Daddy Owen has been known for his unique artistic voice since his early years in high school but he fully came to limelight in 2004 when released his first album, Haijalishi.
Though from a humble and less financial status, Owen grew popular with the help of his family, most importantly his brother Rufftone and the late gospel artist, Kaberere who he has constantly called his mentor.
Daddy Owen is the founder of Malaika awards which seeks to honor artistes with disabilities. He also launched the Macho Macho campaigned aimed at providing medical attention to needy people with eye problems in Kakamega.
Unlike Owen, Wambui, is a media-shy fashion designer that is rarely known by many. Amazingly, Farida Wumbui is the main brain behind most Owen’s dapper suits and killer fashion sense. She has been his stylist for a good while and doubles up as his adviser.
A grand wedding reception takes place at the newly opened Radisson Blu Hotel.
