In a bid to pinpoint the main murder of city billionaire Jacob Juma, his family has accused a series of politicians including Sirisia MP John Waluke and other business moguls, recommending that they should face grilling.
Juma’s brothers told CID team to investigate MP Waluke as he was involved in a serious business fight with Juma.
However, the MP denied involvement in businessman Jacob Juma’s murder. He said he could not have thought about killing the slain billionaire because he had a lot to gain from him being alive than dead.
He described Juma’s brothers claims as “senseless and unfounded”, disclosing that he was rather a good friend of the billionaire in a relationship that has lasted for over 20 years.
He expressed his regrets over his death but stated how unfortunate it is that he is a victim of circumstance which is why anybody would think that he would be involved in something like that.
Waluke and Juma are co owners of a construction company. Waluke said he has never been involved in any kind of quarrel at any point with Juma throughout the time they ran the combined business.

Waluke said he is ready to face the CID anytime. When queried about Juma’s relationship with businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, Waluke said he is aware they were friends but cannot state with certainty anything far from that.
He added that he was shocked when he learned Wanjigi covered a huge amount of Juma’s burial costs. Waluke said:
“I was shocked by his generosity. He covered a huge chunk of the costs.”
In the same vein, Homicide Unit interrogated Jimmy Wanjigi on Juma’s death, as well as on their business activities, on Friday.
Wanjigi was questioned by the police after mobile phone data indicated that he was among the last people who spoke to Juma on phone.
Juma’s wife –Miriam Juma had told the police that Wanjigi relationship with his family remains a “mystery” to her family since he was not in anyway related to the Juma’s.
Wanjigi, who is hardly seen in the public domain, made an unusual public appearance after Juma’s death on May 6.
Juma’s murder appears to have affected Mr Wanjigi so badly, causing him to uncharacteristically appear in public, including serving as a pall-bearer at his friend’s funeral.
The last time the business mogul came out in public was after the death of another friend and ally, Internal Security minister George Saitoti, who died in a 2012 helicopter crash.
Juma was shot on May 6 as he drove to his Karen home. His body was found inside his Mercedes Benz a few metres from the junction of the Southern By-pass on Ngong Road.
ODM leaders alleged Juma was murdered over the Eurobond saga and a new scandal he was compiling. Cord leader Raila Odinga alleged Juma was killed by officers from the Flying Squad. The government denied the claims and said it is investigating.
28 people are said to have been questioned in connection to the murder.
