Reports have it that the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has prohibited the virgin minors’ in bikini nude party scheduled to hold at hotel Mtwapa in Kilifi County.
As learnt, Bonventure Kioko – KFCB regional coordinator – has already ordered officers presiding over Mtwapa police station to take action against the organisers of the party.
Kioko in a letter to Mtwapa police station, related that the organisers of the party are calling on ‘virgins and Ben 10s’ to attend the party. The regional coordinator also highlighted that it’s unacceptable for the party advert to encourage minors to attend the party in bikini.
To him, it’s immoral for the advert to expose nude young girls. He added that the advert was against the law as it was never approved by the board.
Kioko said: “the much-hyped Bikini party scheduled for today (Saturday) at the nightclub is cancelled. How can you have a party whereby the advertising poster is a picture of a nude lady? It defeats any other interest; members of the public are therefore advised to keep off such an event for their safety.”
With that, he rebuked that advert on social media saying it’s a negative influence to the moral fabric of the society. Also, he condemned the recruitment and sexual exploitation of underage models in the entertainment industry.
According to him, businessmen in the entertainment industry do take advantage of students during long vacations by luring them to immoral parties where drugs are usually abused.
More-so, he remarked that some hotels wouldn’t stop promoting child prostitution. Adding that wild parties has given the Coast region a bad repute, Mr Kioko tasked parents to monitor their kids and ensure they don’t take part in such parties.
“The emerging trend where business people in the entertainment industry are recruiting underage models who end up being exploited in some villas and apartments within Coast region must stop,” charged Kioko.
