Jose Mourinho could not have imagined a worse return to Stamford Bridge since taking the reigns as Manchester United boss.

The 53-year-old Portuguese was sacked by Chelsea last year after winning the Premier League the year before. A string of poor results and rumors of an unsettled dressing room led to owner Roman Abramovich canning the much-loved manager.

The match started in disastrous fashion with Chelsea scoring the fastest Premier League goal of the season so far and going on to win the game by four un-replied goals.

The Stamford Bridge faithful, who used to adore their most successful ever manager, taunted Mourinho with chants of ”You’re not special anymore!”

Pedro Rodriguez scored after just 30 seconds to open the floodgates thanks to some poor defending and bad judgment from United’s goalie.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed an opportunity to equalize when he headed over an Antonio Valencia cross from the right.

Defender Gary Cahill got the second goal after some more bad defending when he got onto a loose ball in the box from a corner kick and slammed home.

Second-half goals from Eden Hazard and midfield anchor N’Golo Kante completed the emphatic victory giving Jose Mourinho, sealing his heaviest Premier League defeat.

“You’re getting sacked in the morning” chants soon began to ring out across the stadium as Mourinho looked glum.

The occasion also served as a fitting tribute to former Chelsea vice-chairman Matthew Harding, who died in a helicopter crash 20 years ago. Prior to kick-off, banners and flags of Harding were hung all around the stadium with his grandchildren serving as mascots for the day.

Chelsea have now won three games on the trot in the Premier league without conceding a goal. They have climbed to fourth place with just one point separating them from leaders Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
