Rolling Stones’ Sir Mick Jagger has welcomed his eighth child at the age of 73, his publicist confirmed.
The legendary singer, whose love for women equals or even outweighs his love for music, welcomed a son with his 29-year-old ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick in New York on Thursday.
A statement released by the publicist on behalf of the couple said the rock star and his girlfriend were ”both delighted at the birth.”
It continued, saying Mick was at the hospital for the arrival, adding that mother and baby are doing well following the delivery.
Sir Mick Jagger began dating Hamrick in 2014 after his partner for 13 years, L’Wren Scott committed suicide.
His previous seven children came from his relationships and marriages to Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall and Luciana Gimenez Morad.
He has a daughter, Karis Hunt Jagger, 46, from his relationship with Hunt and then a daughter Jade Jagger, 45, from ex-wife Bianca.
Ex-partner Hall gave him four children – Elizabeth, 32, James, 31, Georgia, 24, and Gabriel, 18, before having a son, Lucas, 17, from a brief relationship with Brazilian model Gimenez.
Sir Mick’s extra-marital affair with the Brazilian model who gave him a love child ended his longest ever relationship. Jerry Hall filed for divorce after nine years of marriage totaling a 22-year-relationship.
Mick Jagger has five grandchildren and became a great-grandfather in 2014 when his granddaughter Assisi, Jade’s daughter, gave birth to a baby girl.
Mick Jagger boasts of one of the greatest string of high-profile women who he has been romantically linked to including Angelina Jolie, Janice Dickinson, Carla Bruni and Sophie Dahl, just to name a few.
