Moses Kuria Vows To Name Cord Leaders In NYS Scam In Two Weeks

Moses Kuria has issued an ultimatum demanding that CS Anne Waiguru should mention CORD members who are involved in NYS scandal within the next two weeks or he will name them himself.

Kuria pointed out that the ex CS avoided naming several CORD leaders in the Sh791 million NYS scandal and rather focused on only Jubilee members for political reasons.

The Gatundu South MP described the naming as being unfair adding that Waiguru has only two weeks to make changes in her affidavit by mentioning the big names or have him do the naming by himself.

He explained that Waiguru has enough time to call out the 52 Jubilee and Cord MPs in a list of those who pocketed home the NYS fund and everything she knows about the scandal.

Quoting Kuria

Jubilee leaders will in the next two weeks focus on voter registration. In that duration, Waiguru should step out and name everyone involved in the National Youth Service scandal.

Speaking during an event held to generate fund at Hope of Life Family Church in Githurai, Nairobi, on Sunday, the MP said the already prolonged case should be cut short by naming everybody involved once and for all.

Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo added that the sudden hike in corruption allegations against Jubilee leaders is simply a malicious plan by the Opposition to discourage the supporters of the leading party from participating in the ongoing registration.

Gathogo warned the overall public to be mindful of politicians whose corrupt deeds are already uncovered but claim to be against corruption just to lure them into voting for them only to abandon their promises afterwards.

She added

It is true that there is corruption in the country but not to the extent that the Opposition might want Kenyans to believe.

The Member of Parliament urged Nairobi locals not to vote in Waiguru governor in the 2017 general election.

Quoting Gathogo,

Why should you elect someone who could not finish her term due to corruption allegations? That only means that if elected governor she will not finish her term.

Waiguru formally confirmed her interest in the seat on February 15 following an endorsement by 200 women, drawn from the city’s 17 constituencies.

Gathogo urged the hairdresser, Kabura, who implicated the former CS of being the architect of NYS scam to speak out with no fear. While encouraging the key suspect in the NYS scam to reveal everything in defiance and boldness, Gathogo apologized for over trusting Waiguru in the past to the extent of vowing to strip naked in her support.

According to her:

Josephine Kabura is a hustler like any other Kenyan. I urge her to speak out on all she knows.

I am deeply embarrassed at my earlier comments. I apologise to anyone who was offended especially my family.
