President Uhuru is allegedly furious at the close connection that might be existing between Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo and her deputy Stephen Masha as well as ODM boss, Raila Odinga.
According to The Star report, the State House has given the two urgent call following Raila’s claim on national TV, that he had discussed details of the Sh250 billion Eurobond cash with the COB.
Have in mind that the signature of the two COB bosses is required before any withdrawal is made from the public strong-box.
President Kenyatta perceive the two financial heads might be joining coalition against him and accused the office of providing the opposition with propaganda tools to tarnish the image of his leadership.
Raila shocked many when he revealed on Citizen TV during an interview on December 21, that Odhiambo had opened up to him in confidence that the missing Eurobond fund amounting to $1 billion from the Eurobond was not invested in Kenyan economy.
I talked to her before I even went public and she told me a different story. She is under a lot of pressure and I actually sympathise with her. She is being intimidated and blackmailed to change that story.
However, enough details as to what actually went down in the State House besides the emergency call and BuzzKenya couldn’t independently confirm the authenticity of this report.
But it is worthy of note that the office hasn’t released its 2015/2016 second-quarter budget implementation review report that has placed the country county and national governments on the spot over how the money was spent.
The report was supposed to be released by January 31.
