Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko on Sunday got many of his supporters excited after he dished out stories of countless wives he had supposedly gotten from the Kikuyuland.
Speaking in Ruiru, Kiambu County, Sonko recognised his Kikuyu lovers in a bid to show solidarity with the community.
In a video (scroll below to see it), the stylish politician began his speech by calling on Kikuyu politicians to be aware of the fact that he is an ‘in-law’ to the community.
The Senator went on to say that he had a child with a woman from Kikuyu, Kirinyaga. He added that he has another wife in Murera, another in Makuyu, and one in Ruiru.
The real identities of the ‘wives’ are unclear despite Primrose remains the only woman the politician has publicly announced as his wife.
The Senator and other Jubilee leaders made the statement at a rally hosted by Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo at Gitothua High School where they rallied voters for Governor Kabogo in the next year’s elections.
Sonko urged the locals to be careful with Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu who is professedly aiming the Kiambu Gubernatorial seat.
