Last weekend, Kenyans witnessed a heartbreaking incident that happened in Naivasha canter.
By the details of the accident, a lot of lives, numbering 40, were lost. They were riding in a car when a canter rammed into cars, exploding into a ball of fire.
A woman who lost her lover in the crash has shared the last words of the man before the harrowing incident.
Mercy Muthoni, 26, and her lover were hoping to be married in March 2017. They’ve made all necessary plans for a garden wedding.
However, her fiancee lost his life in the road crash. According to her, the man had visited her over the weekend in Narok and was returning home when the accident happened.
Speaking to local media, Muthoni – who was still shuddering, days after the incident – said her special other had been restless the entire day and kept saying goodbye without really leaving a day before the ‘gory and frightening’ accident.
‘He was restless and excited and kept saying that we would meet again, I didn’t know that he mean’t in another life,’ Muthoni says.
When he was finally leaving, her fiancee urged her to always keep a smiling face and let tomorrow hold thoughts for itself because neither she or anybody else knew what the next day would bring.
But the next day brought grief, sorrow, unhappiness, heartache, sorrow, pain and sadness.
She said the news of the horrific site on the roadside greeted her the next day. Though she is healing, she says she is yet to believe the fact that her man is no more, adding that her dream of becoming his wife has been cut short.
After the accident, a man identified as Garvin Andresen made a public claim saying that he was responsible for the blood-soaked Naivasha accident
The self-proclaimed witch doctor made the claims on his social media account, alleged to be his parody account which he uses to trick people.
Whether he is a weirdo, an attention seeker or a devil worshiper we may never know but the claims sounds all-out stupid.
After the incident last weekend, Andresen began rejoicing. A post which has since been deleted from his account claimed that he caused Naivasha accident.
Tragically, he wrote that he was looking for a human sacrifice of at least 30 people all who were burnt beyond recognition.
In a later update, he shared that he was in love with accidents and further compared the canter accident to a barbecue fest – Nyama Choma.
