Meet Hulk, a 12 stone American pitbull terrier who serves as a babysitter to Marlon and Lisa Grennan’s newborn son.
Not many dog lovers would let their loved pets around a newborn child, talk less of one with powerful jaws and a great need to chew.
“I have no worries with Hulk being around the baby. It’s not a big deal. When we brought Jackson home, Hulk was all over him”, Lisa said.
“He was watching me while I cared for him and he would go and check on him when he would cry. He is the perfect protector and babysitter.”
”He followed me around everywhere. We couldn’t ask for a better dog. He really does love him and you can see it in his eyes.”
The pitbull has a bad reputation. At least eight out of ten people would cringe at reading the title because a pitbull is thought to be a vicious dog with massive strength.
Pitbulls are feared, respected, hated and loved intensely by different types of people. They need training from an early age to be able to function around the house, which is where Marlon steps in.
His company Dark Dynasty K9s specializes in training elite protection dogs for the police, celebrities, and billionaire clients worldwide. It is easy to now understand how the massive, angry looking, super heavyweight dog is able to cuddle and kiss the baby without exercising his jaw.
“Even when Jackson was a mere few hours old we were ready to take him home to meet the pack. I wasn’t worried at all,” Marlon said.
”When you’re the leader of that pack and there’s structure, rules, boundaries, limits and leadership, then there’s nothing to be worried about. I’m always in control.”
Hulk weighs 24 times greater than the baby but Marlon is confident his training and leadership will keep everyone safe.
Countries like the UK have successfully banned the American pitbull terrier breed, while it thrives very well in different parts of America.
