It is that time of the year again when Apple officially reveals its next generation iPhones – Apple iPhone 7 And 7 Plus.
Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the iPhones at the Apple annual event held in San Francisco calling the new model the ”best iPhone we’ve ever created.”
The new iPhone’s design is very similar to that of the iPhone 6S having the same rounded aluminum body.
The new models however have new features that sets it apart from previous ones.
The new features include water resistance, a pressure sensitive home button, better camera, a faster processor and improved battery life, as well as not having a headphone jack.
The home button now has a vibration based ”taptic” response system. The system, which has been in use on the MacBook, vibrates when touched to give users feedback.
Cameras on both models will have 12 megapixel sensors and 4K video recording capability. The camera has been restructured to enhance low-light photos and take even sharper ones. The plus version of the iPhone 7 has a dual-lens camera which enhances quality when a photo is zoomed into.
This model will also have a faster processor. The new Apple A10 Fusion has a 64-bit 4 core CPU. It is forty percent faster than the previous A9 Fusion with even better graphics.
Apple iPhone 7 And 7 Plus are going to have the longest battery life ever in an iPhone. The iPhone 7 will last 14 hours when using WiFi and 12 on 4G while the plus version will last 15 hours on either WiFi or 4G.
The most contentious decision on the new iPhone models are its lack of a headphone jack. The phones come with Apple Airpods which connect via infrared sensors. Normal headphones can however be used but would require the use of an adapter.
