A trailblazing gospel singer Mercy Masika miraculously escaped death yesterday after she was involved in a road accident along the Thika Superhighway.
Based on reports, Ms Masika was driving her red new car when it was hit from behind at around midnight by a truck on Thika Superhighway. Also, it was alleged that the car clash was in part caused by poor visibility as there was rain pouring heavily at the time of the accident.
And afterwards, Mercy Masika was rushed to Aga Khan hospital, where she was examined for any internal or external risk. On hearing the news, the internet responded accordingly, calling on everyone to pray for the Mwema hit maker.
The award winning singer later took to social media on Sunday to reduce fears that was spread during the accident.
Ms Masika wrote on Twitter:
“I take this time to say am (sic) completely out of danger and without even a scratch from the accident. I serve a living God.”
Prior to her response, it was speculated on social media that Ms Masika was badly wounded and that she was “fighting for her life” at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi. Also, there was no reports of death from the accident.
This prompted thousands of fans to flood her wall to wish her a quick recover. Reports reaching us this morning, is that she has been discharged from the hospital as she sustained not even a single scratch from the accident.
Famous for her charming smile, Ms Masika joined the gospel industry with two hits, “Mwema” and “Nikupendeze”. She has so far won the hearts of Kenyans and has racked up hundreds of fans.
