Jack Wilshere: Arsenal Star Ties Knot In Lavish Italian Wedding

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is for once not in the news for his poor off-field antics or prolonged stay in the treatment room.

The injury raveled footballer wedded his long-time girlfriend Andriani Michael at a three-day lavish wedding in Italy.

Wilshere proposed to Andriani, who is the daughter of his barber Michael Michael, at her surprise 25th birthday last year. The pair started dating in 2014 after Wilshere split with Lauren Neal, the mother of his two children; 3-year-old Archie and 21-month-old Delilah.

“This weekend my beautiful girlfriend made me the luckiest man in the world and said yes! Couldn’t be happier!” wrote Jack Wilshere on Twitter at the time of his proposal.

Jack took to Twitter again on the day the couple exchanged vows, captioning a picture of them with: “The new Mrs. Wilshere.”

He further wrote: “On Saturday I married the woman of my dreams! Thank you to everyone who came and made the day so special.”

British artist Craig David, who is said to be a favorite of Wilshere’s, provided the entertainment at the reception. A source reportedly told The Sun that the reception was a mash-up of huge dance and chart-topping hits with the 7 days singer “singing, MCing and getting the crowd going.”

“Think of the best wedding party you’ve ever been to, with all your favorite tunes, then double it, that’s a rough idea.”

“Unsurprisingly, it hit the right note with guests, who had an incredible night which ended with fireworks. It was the perfect end to an incredible day.”

The wedding was kept a private affair and had just close friends and family in attendance. The close friends, however, included a few footballers; Benik Afobe, Wojciech Szczesny, Danny Welbeck and Dan Crowley who have all played with Wilshere at Arsenal.
