President Uhuru Kenyatta has gone on attack against all Kenyans. In a fierce public criticism he referred to his own nationals as criminals on account of the endemic corruption in Kenya.
President Uhuru lambasted the rampant cases of corruption and tribalism being spread all over the country at the expense of nation building.
We Kenyans God has blessed us with a country… that is 20 times more wonderful than the one where we are now.
But wherever we are, all we ever do is complain and steal – and in fact we are experienced in stealing, abusing each other, perpetuating other crimes and peddling tribalism.
While addressing an audience, including students and delegations from Kenya and Israel, the president advised the Kenyans to learn from how Israel was run.
The president stated in Swahili.
Israelis are from different parts of the world, but have been united by their security and the urge to improve the living standards in their country.
We could learn much from how well Israel was run.
He also praised Israel for making it their task to foster unity of purpose.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is on three-day state visit to Israel. He had earlier visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which is one of the holiest sites in Christendom.
The church, known as Calvary, is said to be where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified as well as where the tomb of Jesus is situated.
Afterwards, he visited the Western Wall, famous as the Wailing Wall, which the most important religious site in the world for Jewish people.
He also visited a Kibbutz where more than 70 Kenyans students are being trained on dry lands farming technologies and automated agriculture.
Speaking of corruption, there are several stories of corruption flooding the media about East Africa’s biggest economy at the moment. Of course we know about the ever-ending NYS scandal that has roped in several big wigs and persons in the country. New stories have been emerging, all in bid to confuse and prolong the matter.
President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a dismissal letter to five of his ministers and other senior state officials just last year due to of allegations of corruption.
