Child Support Payment

Deputy President William Ruto has responded to the filing of a child support payment suit against him via twitter telling his side of the story.

It was revealed yesterday that the deputy president fathered a child out of wedlock in 2006 and had neglected the child’s upbringing and mother.

The mother which was identified as Prisca Bett narrated in the suit that she and the DP were in a romantic relationship in 2005 while she was a student at Moi University.

She said Ruto assured her that he would take full responsibility for the child he fathered which she gave birth to in 2006. He has apparently since that time, given up on the woman.

DP William Ruto responded to the suit via Twitter in the late hours of Thursday. He first acknowledged having a child out of wedlock before denying that he had failed to take care of her.

”My 11-year old child Abby is well catered for, including her education in private boarding school,” he wrote before warning busybodies to keep off.

The Deputy President asked politicians and busybodies to keep off his personal affairs and concentrate on more important issues.

”For the record, I did find Abby’s mother a 90k-a-month job, 40k monthly upkeep ever since. She went ahead to get her own 3 other kids though,” he continued.

The deputy president then went ahead to blast his baby mama and her other kids’ father/s for trying to blackmail him into catering for other men’s children.

Through her lawyer Gitobu Imanyara, Ms. Bett claimed that Ruto had failed to provide the minor with basic necessities such as food, education, and healthcare.

She was asking the court to help compel DP Ruto for monthly child support payment of KSh 30,000 in food allowance, KSh 80,000 for housing and KSh 35,000 for toiletries.

Ms. Bett additionally wants a security detail for the DP’s daughter and a car.
