Snow In Kenya Jokes — The Snow In Kenya hashtag is still trending after snowy substances hit Nyahururu, Nyandarua County yesterday evening.
Many Kenyans living in the area took to the streets to have fun with the whitish substances, taking photos and posting them on social media.
The rare occurrence has sparked something of a debate online with many relating the incidence to climate change and others to the end of the world.

Atypical of Kenyans with events such as this one, social media, has since become awash with memes and hilarious jokes.
Shortly after news of the incidence sent the internet abuzz, The Kenyan Meteorological Agency took to their Twitter account to explain that the whitish substance was not snow but a hailstorm.
The event in Nyahururu is a hail storm. Such storms occurs when there is abrupt convection and rain clouds form too fast.

However, Kenyans hit back at the Agency accusing them of trying to spoil their ecstasy over the Westernesque occurrence.

With no doubt, the most hilarious of them all came from a travel agency named Bonfire Adventures and Event. The Agency sent Kenyans hysterics after it announced on social media her plans to monetize from Nyahururu’s snowy weather.
For a weekend of snow at Nyahururu, the agency is charging KSh 11,500 per person, per night. The fee includes lodging at luxurious Panari Resort-Nyahururu. Perks include skiing.
