UPDATE!! Suspected Terrorist Shot Outside US Embassy In Nairobi

A man suspected to be part of the Al-Shabaab terrorist group was been shot dead outside the heavily guarded US embassy in Gigiri, Nairobi on Thursday.

Reports say that the suspected terrorist  stabbed a General Service Unit (GSU) officer as he tried to reach for the officer’s weapon.

The suspect looked to try and force his way into the embassy when he was blocked by the Kenyan officer at the gate. He then took out a knife hidden in his clothes and stabbed the officer in the head and chest.

The man was then shot twice and the GSU officer rushed to the hospital soon afterward.

The body of the attacker and his weapon lay on the scene for a while in photos as officers looked to take notes.
