Tanzanian Ray-c back to rehab

Tanzanian singer Ray-C has been bundled back to rehabilitation centre in Dar es salaam, days after she was saved from suicide attempt.

The county’s police said they picked her from Dar es Salaam streets when the began screaming, saying she was asking for a knife to stab herself to death while threatening to strip naked.

In 2012, the Bongo Flava artiste who got admitted to rehab after the country’s then leader,  President Jakaya Kikwete and well-wishers  came to her rescue.

Kikwete, the same urged Ray-C to get rid of drug abuse while receiving methadone treatment as it would result in her breaking down.

Tanzania’s ex-president knew about Ray-C’s alleged detoriation when photos of a depressed woman said to be Ray-C were published in one of the country’s famous weeklies.

Rehema Chalamila, popularly known as Ray-C, one time made a public appeal for a husband on her Instagram account. Afterwards, she received over 500 marriage proposals.

The embarrassed Tanzanian singer who is now in ‘Sober House’ reminds us that the world has lost far too many bright celebrities to drug addiction and alcohol abuse. From Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse, to Cory Monteith and Philip Seymour Hoffman, celebrity end from drug and alcohol overdoses affects fans a lot.

Likewise, some celebrities have managed to struggle their ways out from the addiction and we hope Ray C will join the bandwagon of such celebrities.

Meanwhile, Ugandan singer, Juliana Kanyomozi, on the other hand has threatened to take Ugandan tabloids to court over repeated “insulting and tarnishing” her name. The singer says is tired of several tabloids cyber-bulling.

According to her, she has called out to many about the repeated lies but they don’t look like they are going to quit tarnishing her name anytime soon. Juliana said angrily:

“Tabloids have insulted and tarnished my name for the last six months, and I have been quiet. I am more than ready to bring to an end this incurable disease of tarnishing Ugandan celebrities. I’m going to sue these tabloids. I have built my name for years, this is going to be a good lesson to others”

This is coming some weeks after reports made rounds on different newspapers’pages alleging that Juliana is pregnant.
