Meanwhile, president Uhuru and DP William Ruto reserved seats for Cord leaders at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru where the President will attend Madaraka Day celebrations on Wednesday. Among these seats are those for Cord co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetang’ula (Bungoma Senator).

They invited the opposition leaders on Tuesday during a meeting at the State House. In the meeting, all the political leaders put behind their political rivalry, and chatted heartily like good old friends.

An incident which was very remarkable was how William Ruto saluted his political ally turned rival – Raila Odinga. After addressing Wetangula by his first name, the DP had a different salutation when he reached the former prime minister.

“How are you boss, habari gani?” said Ruto as he shook Raila’s hand.

It was also alleged that during the meeting, Opposition leaders accepted the invitation but insisted the Uhuru Park rally must go on.
